Position Description:
Under the training and direction of the site administrators and VAPA teachers, tutor students in VAPA classes and coordinate student
assignments with teachers.
Personal: Qualifications
- Correct usage of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills, tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Maintain confidentially and use discretion when working with students.
- Demonstrate ability to be organized.
Professional Requirements
- Tutor students in small groups.
- Knowledge of the writing process, note taking and fundamentals of visual and performing arts, and the ability to assist
students in their acquisition of these subject areas and skills. - Other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High school graduate, current enrollment in a two or four year college program or technical trade school and availability for all four days of tutoring assignment each week.
