Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate workflows that directly support key account management by ensuring timely and accurate sample processing for health systems.
- Participate in scalable testing operations to meet the increasing demand driven by physician outreach, marketing campaigns, and domestic distributor networks.
- Train to perform and optimize pre-analytical steps, ensuring workflows are scalable to meet growing demands from partnerships.
- Participate in daily operational tasks such as equipment maintenance and inventory management, ensuring laboratory readiness for high-throughput testing facilities essential for expansion.
- Consistently operate and perform routine maintenance on automated liquid handlers to support high-throughput genetic testing workflows.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues with liquid handling systems to ensure minimal downtime and consistent processing.
- Ensure the seamless operation of the facility by managing office supply inventory, coordinating waste disposal services, and addressing other facility-related needs as they arise.
- Manage inventory, assemble, and coordinate the domestic shipment of sample collection kits to clinics, hospitals, and key stakeholders.
- Participates in ongoing education and training to maintain their knowledge and skills and stay current with industry developments.
- Work under the direct and constant supervision of clinical laboratory scientists.
- The candidate may engage in other duties not listed above but within laboratory and business/commercial operations.
Requirements:
- At least a bachelor's degree in an area relevant to the laboratory. Experience working in a clinical laboratory would be a plus.
- Must have a solid understanding of basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting and centrifugation.
- Flexibility in working on weekends and public holidays based on staff rosters.
- Preferred: Coding and scripting knowledge to help with streamlining of data workflow and management of business operations software.
- Preferred: Direct, hands-on experience operating, and maintaining automated liquid handling platforms (Hamilton systems are highly preferred).
- Preferred: Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., CLIA, CAP, GxP).
