LOCATION: Much of our ongoing and forecasted workload for this role is in Scotland and therefore our preference is for a candidate that would be attached to our Glasgow or Edinburgh office. However, we are big believers in flexible working, and that includes working from home. We have offices in Edinburgh. Glasgow, London and Bristol, and we are happy to talk about hybrid working patterns.

Background to the Role
As part of our ongoing development, we are now seeking to complement our ecology team with Consultant Ecologists with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Working with our existing team of Ecologists and Environmental Planning experts, you will support, manage and deliver committed projects and contribute to the development of ITPEnergised’s related offering.
This is a great opportunity to support the growth of an exciting consulting business working alongside a highly experienced team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your role and areas of focus will primarily entail:
- Assisting on ecology projects, or providing support for ecological or ornithological elements on larger multi-disciplinary projects.
- Undertaking ecology survey work as required and appropriate.
- Assisting in the delivery of EcIA and stand-alone ecological assessments.
- Contributing to, and authoring, ecology assessment reports and technical chapters.
- Preparing protected species licence applications as required and appropriate.
- Preparing scopes of work and costs for input to proposals, as necessary.
- As the business requires, assisting in delivery of other related environmental assessments, commensurate with experience and technical understanding.
Work Location

You may be asked to attend meetings at our office locations, or travel to clients’ offices or sites as project work requires. This may include international travel, where necessary.
Outline Remuneration Offer
- Salary: From £26,000 (DOE)
- Pension: 5% EE contribution / 5% staff contribution
- Holidays: 25 days (including 3 days over Christmas and New Year), plus 9 public holidays (pro rata)
