edamama is the #1 online-to-offline (O2O) platform focused on products and services for parents and families in the Philippines! We're a mama-led company (with dads, aspiring parents, and kid-at-hearts on board too!) on a mission to make parenting easier. Think content, commerce, and community wrapped up in one supportive space. We’ve reached another milestone in 2023 when we started to branch out into retail aiming to have 100 stores in the next 5 years!

What You'll Do

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Product Owner to drive product discovery, define clear requirements, and guide cross-functional teams from idea to delivery. This role serves as the bridge between customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams, ensuring that product decisions are data-driven, well-documented, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibility Areas

Product Discovery & Customer Understanding

  • Conduct user research and gather customer feedback through interviews, surveys, and usage analytics. Document customer pain points and translate them into product requirements. Work with the design and engineering teams to understand feasibility and constraints.

Backlog Management & Prioritization

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies.
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Refine backlog items with the team during sprint planning and ensure the team understands requirements.

Requirements & Specification

  • Define product requirements and acceptance criteria for features. Create wireframes or collaborate with design on user flows.
  • Ensure requirements are testable and unambiguous before development begins.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the bridge between customers, leadership, design, and engineering.
  • Communicate product decisions, timelines, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations around scope and trade-offs.

Execution & Delivery

  • Participate in ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retros).
  • Clarify requirements during development and make decisions on scope changes.
  • Validate completed features meet acceptance criteria and customer needs.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Monitor key product metrics and KPIs. Use data to identify improvement opportunities and validate feature impact.
  • Present findings to leadership and recommend product iterations.

Continuous Learning & Process Improvement

  • Learn the product domain deeply and stay current with industry trends.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements in how the team works.

Maintaining a Living Product Database

  • Maintain and organize a centralized product database or knowledge repository that documents product decisions, feature specifications, user research findings, and product roadmap.
  • Ensure documentation is current, accessible to the team, and serves as a single source of truth for product information.
  • Update the database as the product evolves and new learnings emerge.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Product management certification or relevant online courses are a plus
  • 1-2 years of product management, product operations, or related experience (business analysis, project management, customer success)
  • Experience working in agile environments is a plus
  • Shipped at least one digital product or feature from conception to launch
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts (APIs, databases, frontend/backend architecture)
  • Experience with product analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.) preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to articulate product vision and requirements clearly
  • User research mindset—comfort conducting customer interviews and synthesizing feedback
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Comfort with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Figma or design tool familiarity is a plus
  • Must be willing to work in Makati 5 times a week
